Freelance Freedom - The Art of Being Your Own Boss

Freelance freedom provides many benefits that are not available in a traditional job, including the ability to make your own hours, set your own rates, and build a career on your terms.

In addition, freelancers often have greater creative freedom than their counterparts in a corporate setting, which can be incredibly satisfying for those who love to think outside of the box and work on unique projects that allow them to develop their talents and interests.

Despite the obvious advantages, working freelance can also be challenging. In order to thrive in a freelance environment, you need to be self-motivated and skilled at managing your time and finances. You may also need to master a variety of “soft skills,” such as effective communication, the ability to manage stress, and the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently.

Finally, it can be difficult to balance the demands of freelance work with other life commitments, such as a full-time job, family, and personal errands.

A major advantage of freelancing is that you can choose your clients and projects. This allows you to work on projects that align with your values and interests, which can be a powerful motivator. For example, if you are passionate about environmental issues, you can select clients and projects that support this cause. Alternatively, you can choose to work with clients who value creativity in their business and provide opportunities for creative collaborations.

As a freelancer, you can work from anywhere that has a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to focus. This flexibility can allow you to enjoy a more flexible lifestyle and reduce the stress of commuting or spending long periods of time away from your home. You can work from the comfort of your own home, a coffee shop, a coworking space, or even from the beach (provided you have Wi-Fi access).

Another major benefit of freelance work is that you control how much you earn each month. If you have a busy month with multiple projects, you can increase your workload to meet your income goals. If you’re feeling burnt out, you can take a break or decrease your workload to help recharge. You can also increase or decrease your rates based on the market or your level of expertise, without having to wait for a company to offer you a raise.

The bottom line is that if you want to work freelance, you should create a clear action plan to grow your network and book the clients you dream of working with. By taking a focused approach, you can double your bookings in any market and build the successful freelance career you’ve always wanted.

Sales Funnels

Check out my recent post on sales funnels and what I think about them. Are they still worth it?

John Sammartino is an expert in sales and personal coaching. He has written academic papers on What Makes a Great Salesperson from a psychological perspective. He has achieved a number of awards for Top Sales for himself and the teams he has coached.

John met the love of his life; Janine, in 1988 and they married in 1994. John and Janine have three wonderful children and currently have three beautiful Grandchildren.

Although John had a pretty successful career as a Mid-Senior Level Sales Executive he never realized how much of his family life he missed out on until he was injured; herniating 17 out of 33 discs in his spine in 2013. Since then has suffered from permanent nerve damage which causes deliberating pain in his back, legs and arms along with many other issues that prevent him from working a normal 40 hour work week never mind the 50-60 hr weeks he was used to.

It was a rude awakening for John and Janine as they noticed that the nest egg you save along with 401k investments doesn't last long when you can no longer work. It wasn't long before they were accumulating a mass of debt and the bank was coming for their home. John decided that he had to reinvent himself and find a way to provide for his family somehow working from home only a few hours a week when he was up to the task.

Determined to adapt his sales and marketing knowledge from a brick and mortar perspective to the Digital, Internet, and Affiliate Marketing field in order to start a steady side hustle. Unfortunately, John and Janine found themselves getting ripped off by many of those so called “Guru’s”. They spent more then they should have on bogus programs promising the moon but always falling short on delivering. He spent countless hours researching and listening to everyone claiming to of “Cracked the Code” to generate wealth.

Being raised in a traditional household, it was ingrained in him that it is his responsibility to provide. John Saw the concern in his wife eyes, she knew he felt emasculated and depressed because he was unable to provide the way he used to. He was tired of seeing his family having to do without, eating one to many mac`n`cheese dinners because it was the cheapest meal.

This gave John the iron will not only to succeed in his quest to make money online but to accumulate generational wealth for his family and future family. Soon he found himself making some good side money but that was only the beginning…
